Castles: Hever Castle - Home of the Boleyn Family (40 mins) guests with children have particularly enjoyed visiting this one, as apart from the adult enjoyment of the house and gardens etc there is plenty to absorb children too.
Leeds Castle - (30 mins) - a classic English castle in wonderful condition - Henry VIII used to break his journeys to Dover resting here
Scotney Castle - (15 mins) perhaps more of a manor house - loved by artists for its wonderful setting - Lady Thatcher had rooms there until recently
Bodiam Castle (5 mins) - chocolate box moated Norman Castle
